After the sun sets and before the dark of night sets in is a calm and pensive remnant of light, and the day. This series explores that place and time using the expanse of an infinite one point perspective horizon to pull you into the painting. Each painting is worked into birch panel that reveals it’s grain and gives the work more depth, and a swirling active sense of motion. Grounding the painting is a passage from the Bible that extends off on each side, like a continued thought. Moving into the distant horizon are trees that represent us moving through the thoughts and ideas in the days remnant.
